Fortnite publishers Epic Games posted a attack video Nineteen Eighty Fortnite, a parody of the classic Apple advertisement based on the novel Nineteen Eighty Four (1984) by George Orwell which makes critical commentary on totalitarian government control.
Fortnite removed from Apple App Store
After Fortnite implemented their own in-game payment system bypassing Apple’s 30% commission, Apple has removed Fortnite from the App Store from violating the App Store guidelines.
The original ad was for the introduction of the Apple Macintosh computer, marketing that the Macintosh would free computing from the over-bearing control of “big brother” presumably IBM computers running Microsoft disk operating system.
Now Apple is seen as the “big brother” controlling Epic Games makers of Fortnite, using their own marketing back against them.
