South Park is known to be at the forefront of current affairs by being fast to make fun of the most current of news and issues. South park season 24 debut episode is called The Pandemic Special.

They released a Making of “The Pandemic Special” South Park video showing the challenges of producing the show with current restrictions to mirror the events of the show.

In the episode children return to school now run by Police and the townsfolk dealing with the pandemic, face masks and zoom meetings.

The South park kids get ninja weapons and the have a fight to an anime sounding song partially in Japanese. I have followed South park for ages so I can’t say I’m surprised by the English translation.
